Android Wear: Everything you need to know

Remember back in 2013? When Google launched their project Glass? It is one of the highly anticipated wearable tech ever. As we come right into 2014, the hype goes up, more stuff just waltz into the industry. Today we are going to be talking about Android Wear. The first question that comes to mind, is a 'What?', well Android Wear is an open-sourced operating system which is brought to us by Google. Yes, it is an Android Operating System, but built just for watches (Potential for other wearable tech devices). That's the what, a simple answer. The OS was announced on the 18th of March 2014 as something that you can interact with as it comes with a fresh version of Google Now, and other functions. Along with the OS, also came out two launch devices. The Moto 360 from Motorola, and the LG G Watch from LG. Both the companies affiliated with Google to use Android Wear on their respected devices.

Let's talk about the Moto 360, the 360 was announced along side Android Wear and has a vivid round design that really did catch my eye. The notification system of the 360 is based off of Google Now, designed to recognize voice commands. If you ask me, the design is extremely versatile and eye-catching. It will be available sometime in Summer 2014.

Now down to the LG G Watch, the G Watch is also a watch that will feature Android Wear. Nothing is officially claimed about the devices other than the specs - 1.65 IPS LCD,  280x280 pixels, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB internal storage. For a device that can be wrapped onto your hand, that is quite impressive.

Those are two of the devices that will launch out. But don't fret, we do have tons of manufactures partnered with Google to bring out their respective devices (Other than watches also) really soon. The manufactures are listed below:-

According to Pocket, we really do believe that Android Wear will be a success since we do have tons of guys taking part. For now, its just 2 devices, but more are on the way.

Let us know what you guys think about Android Wear.

Do make sure to stick around for more.

Thank you for all your time.
