Facebook to acquire WhatsApp for $16 billion

The most popular mobile peer-to-peer connector will soon be in Facebook's hand for a total sum of $16 billion. As reported, on 19th of February 2014, Facebook announced that it will acquire WhatsApp for USD $12 million by paying $4 billion in cash and the remaining $12 billion in Facebook shares and $3 billion in RSU.
Facebook is broadly trying to prove that they wish to make the world a better place to connect and share by doing so. On the other hand, several reports claim that WhatsApp might not be doing well financially. Other changes that we can hope to see are a free lifetime usage of the service. Updates should hit soon once Facebook has completely acquired WhatsApp.

Stay tuned for more updates.
